Next stop is Poland. This is our second trip to Krakow and we really love Poland especially Krakow as the city has a very nice old town and plenty of history.

Below is a shot taken outside St Florian’s gate. Krakow is not as quiet as Slovakia but it is still much better than Prague. It is not hard to catch a shot without any crowds even at the popular attractions.

The shot below is taken just after sunset showing the towering St Mary’s Basilica which overlooks the Krakow central square.

We took a day trip to Zakopane on christmas but it was very crowded… It seems that Zakopane is a favorite Christmas holiday spot for the Polish people. We saw a huge jam going there from Krakow during the 23rd Dec when we were driving from Kosice to Krakow. Thankfully, the traffic was much better on Christmas day.

We spent a night in Wroclaw on the way to Dresden. It is a small town without many impressive buildings but it still has a pretty nice town square (the first pic at the top of this post)

We had some time to kill so we visited the local market near the river. It looks pretty quiet for a market though.  Maybe it is because it was the 27th, just after Christmas and they have done all their festive shopping.
